The command post of the Movimento das Forças Armadas, who worked in the Engineering Regiment No. 1 (Tip) on 24, 25 and 26 April 1974, was decisive for the success of the Carnation Revolution, subscribing, as well, the tip and the current municipality of Odivelas in one of m AIS emblematic pages of history of Portugal. XX. The municipality of Odivelas in collaboration with the Engineering Regiment No. 1, opened April 24, 2001, the Museum of the command post of the Movimento das Forças Armadas. This museum space is composed of a limited duration, two temporary exhibition rooms and the room where we ran the command post. There is also the Auditorium April captains with capacity for 80 people, for the realization of congresses, conferences and debates.
